CAPS Program

Childcare Assistance for Families

The Georgia Mountains YMCA participates in the Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) program, which helps eligible families access affordable childcare. CAPS provides financial assistance to offset childcare costs, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to benefit from our safe, nurturing, and educational programs.

Our YMCA works closely with CAPS to make the enrollment process smooth and stress-free. With this support, parents can focus on work or school knowing their children are cared for by trained, certified YMCA staff in a positive, development-focused environment.

How to Apply for CAPS

To determine eligibility and apply for CAPS, families must visit the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) website. Once approved, families can use CAPS assistance toward YMCA programs including the Early Learning Center, Afterschool Care, School Break Camps, and Summer Camps.

Our staff is available to guide you through the application steps and answer questions about how CAPS can help your family.
